Dahlewitz trip
So Ilan actually seems to agree that getting a house outside the city could be a good idea. (Maybe he’s gotten nervous about my fantasies of refurbishing a construction trailer, like the one in the photo above …?)
We went to look at this fantastic old house today. It’s in pretty bad shape, and, most importantly, it is way too huge for us, so we aren’t going to buy it, after all … But it was fun to visit it nevertheless.
The Last Match comes to Leipzig!
The exhibition of tiny little matchbox-size drawings by so far about 200 comic artists from 41 countries is touring through “L” cities this year. It was previously shown in Lisbon and Linz, and now it’s Leipzig’s turn! It will be shown at the MZIN bookstore and gallery from June 11th to July 11th.
Even though this is quite close to my place of residence, I can’t make it to the opening (I already committed to boyfriend support), but I hope I/we can go see the exhibition at some later point. Leipzig is also a very nice city overall.
PIGGELPIXIE
Ilan requested an 8-bit piggie for some project. He might animate it, maybe make the cheek blush patterns alternate and the eyebrows and snout move.
Actually he will use it as one of many visuals on Friday night at Tresor during the Visual Berlin Festival, doing visuals for Stu. As Ilan was preparing for this gig and listening to Stu’s music, he thought one of the songs definitely had piggy noises in it …
