Dog Island
A small island struggling to free itself from colonial oppression. Politically it is already pretty much autonomous, but its entire economy is dependent on the colonial nation. It exports copper ore and bananas, and has to import almost all food and manufactured goods from its colonial masters. On the surface the situation is pretty calm, but frustration is brewing and the future seems uncertain. Those who can afford it leave, poor people have no choice but to stay, and only the craziest of people would move there.
