Hogs and Kisses

Hogs and Kisses

Severiina and I, kind of inspired by this lovely cross stitch

Severiina is a plush piggy I rescued from a thrift store some years ago. Her snout is all worn out, so she was probably kissed a lot by a previous owner. I do my best to also make her feel loved here in her new home. V^(oo)^V

Frosty datscha weekend

One of many reasons why I like my stove is that its lower air vent looks like a piggy snout. See this slightly enhanced photo:

(Mum, do not look at the lower right corner of the picture! I just noticed that the container with twigs for starting the fire is really dirty. Oops …)

The trip to Prague that I’d forgotten about

It was a very short but quite nice trip in May last year.

The view from Elsa’s bedroom – an old Jewish cemetery. You could also see the TV tower with the freaky babies climbing all over it.

TATAR PRIDE

Tatar Pride shirt

I made peremech for a little party yesterday, and I realised I needed a suitable shirt for it. So I traced Bronson onto some fabric on my light table with textile colour, and then sewed it on this shirt.
I would have painted directly on the shirt, but it’s made of some weird mesh and velvet stuff that doesn’t really take the colour very well.

(In the background you can see my painting for which my piggy Sergei stood model. It’s perhaps inspired by Petrov-Vodkin. I haven’t given it any title, but I guess “Slumber of a Red Pig” could be a nice one.)

Surprise painting at the trailer

The weather was bizarrely warm and dry last Sunday and Monday, so I could paint the second layer on the new wall of my trailer.

I also painted the windowsills green, and now they look less offensive.

So now it’s all done!

All the leaves have fallen off the trees, so the garden is a bit less cozy now. I put up a bird feeder and Meisenknödel for the birdies. The cashier lady at the Netto store clearly thought it was nice of me to buy bird food, as she gave me that special “aww, you’re buying bird food” kind of smile. :o)
The birdies (great tits, blue tits and even a jay) came right away and started eating, but they are still very shy, and I have no window facing the plum tree where I put the feeder, so I couldn’t get any birdie photos.

I’m a bit sad that the food has probably run out already and I can only replenish it next weekend. :3

I should have taken photos in my greenhouse, too, because the stuff I’m growing there is doing pretty good.
