I got the idea for this comic last summer, when I was staying in Bucharest. I often went to the vegetable market, and drooled over all the delicious Romanian vegetables. Of all vegetables cucumbers have a very, very special place in my heart (and stomach), and when I saw the big sacks full of yummy little cucumbers at the stalls of the cucumber sellers, I wished I could have a whole sack ... Thus, Haiducul Castravete, the cucumber bandit, was born. He lives in the Carpathians and steals cucumbers from the peasants. 'nuff said ...
