Intermission

Intermission

Maybe this spanking new cover for Tunguska #8 (my photocopied comics zine in Swedish) can be here as an intermission picture until I start chapter 8.

Yes, they have electricity. Because …

Communism = Soviet power + electrification!

(Lenin and electrification. Shass – Kobelev, 1925.)

I based their house a bit on the one in this lovely photo.

I’ll be at Stockholm SPX10 the extended weekend of April 22nd to 25th, selling my zines and also my book. As usual I will sign my book bad-assedly with ink and red acrylic paint. On the 22nd I will also take part in an “8 hour comic” event. Whee!

    Hi there.

A slightly belated cheers for May Day – mustn’t forget. Of course, down south here there’s no celebration of May 1st at all, so I drink a red beer and play commie songs all by myself. 🙁

Anyhow, I must say that’s a very nice title page – one I’ve become very familiar with. Interested to see how it relates to the upcoming chapter… And of course, I’m looking forward to that upcoming chapter in the first place!

No celebration of May Day? That’s preposterous! :o) Well, I had some visitors over from the US last weekend, and they were shocked that it’s a national holiday in Europe …
It’s a big day in Berlin, with huge street fairs and notoriously messy demonstrations in the evenings. This year, a group of Neo-Nazis also wanted to demonstrate through my neighbourhood, but 10.000 of us counterdemonstrators blocked them off, and the police decided to escort the Nazis out of the city. It was a great day. ^_^

I’m afraid the above title page is more retrospective, since it was for a zine that collects Driftwood chapter 7 … But of course the previous chapter will have repercussions on the one that will follow in a not too far future. I just have to get some strucuture into my daily life again, after all these comics festivals, visitors and May Day parades! (-_-*)
