Driftwood 7 40

Driftwood 7 40

There are lots of Mongolian curses and impolite phrases here, with audio files!

Maybe this is somehow overly pedagogical, but I don’t want to finish this chapter … ;_;

    LOL @ assassin shamanism … Erlik is so cute!

  2. Tinet says:

    D’awwww … (*・)σσσ(*゜Д゜*)

  3. Ilmari says:

    Wow, my questions were anticipated in advance! I’m impressed.

    … That’s a very philosophical approach Erlik has to, you know, killing people. I guess it might make the messy business easier to live with.

    … Very mixed heritage, that Aeron. I was always aware that Russia encompassed dozens (hundreds?) of cultural groups, but that much inter-marriage is surprising even so. It can happen, though.

    … The anti-spam word this time is ‘Bakunin’. Last time it was ‘Goldman’. I’m guessing that you set up the spam filter system yourself, Tinet? 😉

  4. Tinet says:

    Well, most of the time I actually make up the script as I go, so I took into account your questions from the day before yesterday when I wrote this. :o)

    Erlik’s approach gets problematic when he has to figure out somehow if a job is really in line with the path of the god of destruction. That’s where the shamanism comes in. Through consulting with the spirits the assassins can figure out whether it is correct to kill the target, or if it’s maybe the client they should kill, or neither … or both?

    As for mixed heritage, Aeron is just speculating on the ones after Caucasians, but it’s really quite normal on the Russian territory, especially in the “cultural crossroads” in the southern and central parts, and not least among Cossacks in those areas. White (Slav) supremacists in Russia are really ridiculous, and it’s sad to see how such ideas nevertheless can find plenty of supporters there.

    Why yes, of course I set up the spam filter myself. ;o)
