By the way, the seamonster’s name,”O-Poh”, comes from the Finnish word for “guidance councellor” – “opinto-opas”, or “opo”. In the school in Finland where I went while drawing this sequence, the guidance councellor resembled this seamonster very much (in a bad way) …

    … would I be an ass if I pointed out that all this time, there’s been a mistake in the dialogue? The past participle of “slay” is “slain”.
